Even though the latest version Android Pie 9.0 has hit the markets, still Android Oreo 8.0 is yet to reach many budget devices. Same is the case with the budget devices from Samsung. The South-Korean giant has reportedly taken this into account & have been already planning to start rolling out Android Oreo 8.0 to its mid-range segment smartphones at least in Turkey according to the Samsung’s Turkish website, which maintains a software upgrade tracking page for a bunch of devices.

Sequentially, Samsung is first going to roll the Android Oreo update to Galaxy J3 2017 by the ending day of this month. Second in the list to receive Android Oreo 8.0 is the Galaxy J7 Core, J7 Pro along with the Galaxy J5 Pro & J5 Prime starting from 28th of September or later.

While being informed already that Android Oreo 8.0 Samsung Galaxy A8 2016 is already available, but being told that, it is partially true as it is not reached all the markets. But as per the latest update, at least for Turkish region, the Android Oreo update is going to roll out on 26th of October.

Last but not the least, Samsung Galaxy J7 Prime & Galaxy On7 Prime are going to receive the Android Oreo respectively on the 16th of November or somewhere around that vicinity.

Kindly, note for a fact that even though the updates being delayed by Samsung, all aforementioned devices are going to receive Android Oreo 8.0 rather than 8.1. Also, do take into notice that all the above-mentioned release dates are tentative & are subject to change for the reasons unknown. With keeping the above timeline in mind, we get a rough idea about how the update scenario for these phones will work out in the coming days.

We will have to wait & see whether the mentioned dates are going to hold even for other markets outside Turkey or not. But looking at the bluff scenario that happened with Samsung Galaxy A8 2016 Android Oreo updates, it is most likely not going to happen. Well, Stay tuned for further updates if any.
