Last year’s Pixel 4 and the 4 xl were good phones, not among the best just good enough. So this year Google has to improve on a couple of essentials things and now with these new real-life images of the upcoming Pixel 5 and the Pixel 5 XL we can say that at least on the design side which were those awful giant front-bezels, to begin with. And we’re glad to say that this time on the Pixel 5 Xl and the Pixel 5 those front-bezels have shrunken down quite a bit from last year’s device as you can see in the leaked images below.

However, the front design won’t have the bezels as slim as say the Galaxy S10 and nowhere near the Galaxy S20. But they’re manageable enough because Google is still using it;s highly accurate face unlock feature as you can see on the display. The face unlock will now be used for the payments, unlocking the phone and also directly jumping to the home screen.
Moreover, it has now been confirmed that the new Pixel 5 and the Pixel 5 XL model both will get an OLED screen with an all-time 90Hz refresh rate. This brings us to the next point which is battery life, another thing where Pixel 4 fell short compared to its competition. Samsung has set the bar so high this time for Battery capacity that we believe the Pixel will definitely not touch it or could close the gap with at least 4000+ mAh. Along with some proprietary fast charging solution that should come bundled inside the box.
While on the specs front, it’s as usual all the flagships this year will use a Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 coupled with either 8GB or 12 Gigs of RAM and storage starting from 128GB.
Pixel 5 Xl will have a triple camera setup for some impressive portrait and zoom abilities and will again amongst the best smartphone camera’s as usual. Stay tuned for more as we keep this updated for our Pixel 5 fans.
