Xiaomi added an all-new 6 Series to its Redmi family this week in the Indian market with three variants in the form of Redmi 6, Redmi 6A, Redmi 6 Pro which will operate on Android 8.1 Oreo-based MIUI 9.6 out of the box. Xiaomi has also promised the MIUI 10 update to be rolled out for all 3 phones soon.

Though the Redmi 6 series is going up on sale in India this month itself, there is no sign of the exact date from the Chinese manufacturer for the release of the latest MIUI 10 update. Yet, Xiaomi has already started to roll out MIUI 10 Global beta ROM to its eligible devices respectively.

On the contrary, as per the latest reports, the Chinese Smartphone company has started rolling out the first stable version of MIUI 10 in China. MIUI 10 was previously launched in China in the Beta phase 3 months ago & now the MIUI 10 Stable ROM is rolling out in China for MI 6.

While on Twitter, Mi India made an announcement that the Redmi 6, Redmi 6A & Redmi 6 Pro will receive the MIUI 10 Global update soon, though it’s worth noticeable that MIUI 10 will still be based on Android 8.1 Oreo & will be the Beta version mainly for testing purposes before the Global Stable version arriving by Q4 of this year.

Well, the exact date for the MIUI 10 release in India is yet to be known. Moreover, there is no news about the Android Pie update. The new ROM is getting some bug fixes such as clear notifications issue, text translation, panorama mode in the camera app, camera UI & the app icons in the notification panel. So, Mi fans who have their Mi device running the MIUI 9 Global beta ROM & registered for the Global Beta ROM can directly check for MIUI 10 Global Beta by going into Settings > About phone > System updates > Check for updates.
