Motorola’s budget series coming in 2019 is the Moto G7 line-up and from the latest leaks and rumors we can say that Motorola has jumped into the Specs war and will gear it’s Moto G7 with the powerful Snapdragon 660, while the Moto G7 Play in this new report is seen to be powered by a powerful Snapdragon 632 chip which is an Octa-Core CPU clocked at 1.8GHz coupled with an Adreno 506 GPU. The Snapdragon 632 is 45% more powerful than the Snapdragon 625 and the 626. Means up to Snapdragon 636 levels of performance, but it won’t surpass it.
Motorola Moto G7 Play Specs and Price
Coupled with the processor the Moto G7 Play will have at least 4GB of RAM while some regions might get 6GB, but 4GB will surely come. Moreover, the storage options here are 64GB, 32GB and as you can see in the leaked images below, it has an sd-card and 3.5mm headphone jack, fortunately.
Now coming towards the front here’s where you will find all the new changes and starting with notch display which houses the front camera along with front LED flash. Furthermore, you also get front firing speaker which is a good design choice.
Next, we still have a single camera setup and the fingerprint sensor is also mounted on the rear. A 15W turbocharger is also here and you will get that within the box; the Battery, on the other hand, took a hit and now your Moto G7 Play will just come with 3000mAh. Motorola will also ship the Moto G7 Play with Android Pie 9.0 and an Update to either Android Pie 9.1 or Android Q will also be offered. Altogether, this is a major upgrade compared to the Moto G6 Play; however, the battery being more than 20% smaller is a bit disappointment.
Motorola Moto G7 Play Price
The Motorola Moto G7 Play is expected to be priced at ₹10,999 to ₹11,999, which is about $150 to $180. Which is cheaper considering the amount of specs it is offering for the price it’s asking for. The 64GB variant might cost $200 but that’s fine as you get double storage and hopefully more RAM as well.
Moto G7 Play Release date
The Moto G7 Play will be released around the month of April in 2019 that’s in early Q2 2019. Talking about its new competitor realme which launched phone left right, might now have to worry as Motorola is now done with a premium price and will now have aggressive pricing and specs similar to realme and Xiaomi phones.
