Motorola’s Moto Z2 Force is now currently getting the latest July Security patch on Verizon wireless in the US. Which is a surprise that the device is getting the latest one on the carrier with slowest updates sometimes. However, it’s over the air now and is seeding to all Verizon Moto Z2 Force users in the US. This new firmware version for this update is ODXS27.109-34-14 and will install the July (01-2018-07) Security patch.

It is a good idea to install such security updates as soon as possible, as they fix the newest exploited vulnerabilities of Android and thus protecting you from potential intruders trying to steal your data via system vulnerabilities, such as Bluetooth network and memory leaks. The Moto Z2 Force runs on Android Oreo 8.0 from Nougat and is also set to get the latest Android P 9.0 Update whenever it comes out.

Also, along with the Moto Z2 Force, we have the LG V30 as well receiving this latest July security update. LG is not known for updating its devices but it’s good to see an update popping up from the South-Korean giant.

Apart from that, just make sure that you have plenty of battery remaining in your handset, at least 50% battery or more would be fine to download and install the update. Also, it’s a common knowledge that such updates won’t show up on all devices at the same time at once.

Update traverse gradually covering one region at a time in several phases. So, it might be visible in New Jersey, but it could take some days till it reaches the west coast. However, you can keep an eye on it by checking for the OTA update manually once in a while. And to do so just go to your setting panel and tap on About Phone and then scroll till you see System Software Updates, tap on it it will check with the server if that update is available in your area or not.
