Motorola is rolling out a new App on the Google Play Store, and it is known as Moto-face unlock. And as by the name you know that this is an app for face unlocking on your Motorola smartphone. And it is now available on the Google Play Store, however, the app might now be compatible with all Motorola phones of this gen and even last year models.

You just have to align your face within the circle and the app’s algorithm will scan your face through the front camera. And once done, you will be also asked to set up a pin or passcode, for just in case.

So, most of the new devices launched in 2018 supports the app, while the Moto G6 Play, the Moto E5 family released this year are absent. Some users owning the Moto Z2 Force, Moto X4 and the moto g6 Play have reported that the app isn’t compatible with their phones yet. However, this app is here so that, Motorola can roll out updates at a much quicker pace, instead of waiting for network partners or similar third parties.

Which also means that the older generations of the moto family will also won’t be able to install and run the moto face unlock app on their phones either.
