When it comes to giving a flagship smartphone & offering a premium experience with the comfort of faster updates, OnePlus knows how to handle it very well & it does it in style with proving correct to its tagline of ‘Flagship Killer’.

To recap it, Previously, OnePlus had released a Closed Beta Android Pie based OxygenOS update for its current flagship OnePlus 6 at the beginning of this month. That was followed up with the second patch of the Open Beta update of OxygenOS addressing the camera & other improvements along with several other bug fixes.

And now we have yet another update in the form of Open Beta 3 to the Android Pie based OxygenOS. This third update patch addresses more bugs fixed, increasing the overall stability with some added functionality, because, why not?

The changelog indicates that Open Beta 3 improves the ability of face unlock, also, further the fingerprint scanner is now going to be faster. The accuracy of the Ambient display has been optimized. More added support for Google Assistant or any other third-party assistant apps of your choice. Now you can fire up your assigned Assistant by just holding the power button for about half a second or so.

OnePlus has also added support for the Parallel Apps by including various apps like Telegram, Discord, IMO, Uber & OLA. The OnePlus Switch app also gets improved with broader support for other Android devices as well. Mind you, with this being a Beta update you are bound to face some issues, for instance with this update Google Pay app is not working.
