The ford eco-sports competitor is here from the house of Tata motor and this new variant or shall we say second top trim that’s XZA of the Nexon AMT will surely explode in the sub 4m compact SUV market. Earlier all the goodies that you expect from a premium compact SUV was present only Nexon AMT’s top XZA+ trim but now with the launch of this new XMA trim at 7.35 lakhs, Tata Motor hopes to get a piece of Ford’s share, by offering a ton of features found in their top variant of the Nexon AMT. The Tata Nexon AMT XMA trim will surely get your attention once you read the list of features that it offers and which has a high on value for money ratio.
Tata Nexon AMT XMA trim: The ideal compact SUV
For starters, this has a sunroof as standard taken from the XZA+ trim and it doesn’t even tout about that like the funroof holders. You get a shark fin and roof rails on the top, electronically foldable mirrors, power tailgate, door handles matching dual-tone shade of the car and the icing on top is the presence of DRLs, which many will value and give the Nexon an up-market look.
Now coming towards the interior, you get Tata’s infotainment system with Android Auto, auto-climate control, a USB fast charger, 12V O/P, voice and phone controls, steering mounted parking sensors add to the convenience. For driving dynamics, you get three modes, the Eco, City, and Sport are available. Remote locking is also added here for safety and driver is also treated with height adjustable seats.
This will come in both petrol and diesel engine options and will against the likes of Ford Eco-sport, Mahindra TUV300, Honda City and the market leader Brezza Vitara which is selling like hot cakes.

So, with that said, Tata is really pushing forward in the sub-compact SUV segment with new sub-premium trims of its top variant which would hopefully attract more buyers this season. However, we expect to see a crossover version of the Nexon on steroids just like the Fiat Aventura. But let’s hope for the best, for now, this one looks amazing for what it offers and should re-build help Tata’s image once again to that of Suzuki which is currently the dominant player in the country.
