Xiaomi is rolling out the latest software update MIUI 8.12.6 version for the Poco F1 which arms the budget flagship with the Super-Slow motion ability. The Super Slomotion that the Poco F1 gets can shot slow-motion shots at an insane 960FPS (Frames per second), that’s Samsung Galaxy Note 9 category of slow-motion camera. The videos that the Poco F1 will shoot are also highly stabilized and smooth as well.
This similar slow-motion feature was earlier also given to Xiaomi’s bezels flagship the Mi Mix 3 and now the Poco F1 is also a member of this elite category of devices that can shoot 960FPS slow-motion videos, as the device is powered by the Snapdragon 845 which can keep up with such a demanding application of camera. Most probably the 960FPS video for the Poco F1 is clocked at 720p only.
This Super Slow-Motion is an interpolated one, which means realtime it captures only at 240FPS and then interpolated to 960FPS, that’s replicating similar to what we have seen earlier in Lenovo’s Z2+ and Huawei phones, so means this isn’t any true 960FPS slow-motion.
